Day 1....The Boar

So here we are. the world of blogging. This is something i have been mulling over for a while now. i feel that i have enough to say to people that, to be honest, don't really care. so i have decided to put it out there and share my views, interests and discussions with others that do :)

Basically i am a 22 year old living in the sleepy seaside town of Dawlish on the south coast of Devon, England. not a lot goes on down here. once a year there is a carnival week, along with floods and floods of holiday makers. . not the greatest, but thats what keeps the town going through the winter months.
anyway, enough about this place, and more about me. as i said I'm a 22 year old living and working in this area, my main interests are technology (many kinds, mainly revolving around personal electronics and gadgets), attending gigs and festivals. mainly of the heavy metal / rock based genre (are are a few dark horses in the closet though.lol).....and as most Young people enjoy....going out and having a jolly on the tiles.

Dawlish is'nt the greatest place to go out in, there are a few really welcoming places, a few dives....and a few places i just cant get my head around why it stays so busy!?
but if you are like me, and quite particular as to what you see / hear when you go out. you will have to go further afield. Exeter is one, with a few venues that play 'good' music with very little trouble. or even further to see a good gig :)

Wednesday (the 23rd) is going to be special. i'm travelling to Bristol with my good friends Phil and Mark, to see the almighty Black Label Society play at coulston hall. I have never seen them before, so i am very looking forward to it!
On that note about gigs, also attended a Valentines show of The Murderdolls in Exeter.....wow was brilliant. and lucky enough to briefly meet Joey Jordison himself (while waiting outside his tour bus). but unfortunately, his intimidating bodyguard was having none of it, and ushered people away as he escorted Joey to the venue.lol well......

thats a bit on gigs...now a bit of tech?...ok... where to start. as far as laptops / computers go. im not a massive geek on them, i know how they work pretty well, and know basic electronics....i own just a fairly cheap HP laptop. my knowledge stops at processor speeds etc. although i have an extensive knowledge to random facts and tips.haha
i consider myself as an iPhone user....boo or cheer as you wish :p but my iPhone 4 got stolen, and am in the process of insurance blah-d-blah-d-blah.... so i am currently using some old, terrible slidy piece of junk from 5 years or so ago....

i also own an ipod touch 3rd gen 32Gb, which i love. i use it for so much, mainly as a remote mouse and keyboard for my PC / TV / entertainment system.
the whole remote thing is only temporary (the airmouse app i think its called....is very good), and i have a wonderfull little gadget called the 'Rii mini'. which is a tiny handheld bluetooth device, that contains a backlit, full qwerty keyboard and a touch sensitive track-pad (like a laptop), and not to mention.....A LASER POINTER! haha
i highly recommend this, although mine is currently back in the post because i have kinda damaged it :s

right, on that note, i think that is quite enough for one sitting...lol
